what gets collected

An email address, only when you type it into a signup or guide-unlock form yourself, used only for what the form next to it says. Separately, every page load is counted by Vercel Web Analytics (see below) — that part is passive, but it's anonymous and doesn't use cookies. Fonts are served from this site's own server, not Google's, so no font request ever leaves to a third party.

what it's used for

• Sending the specific guide or resource you unlocked, if that's what the form said.
• Occasional notes on systems work, coaching, and new guides. Nothing else, no surprise lists.
• Anonymous page-view counts, so I know which pages are actually useful and worth writing more of.

who else sees it

Klaviyo is the email platform this runs on. Your email is stored there to send you what you signed up for. It is never sold, rented, or handed to anyone else for any reason. Guide content itself is served by a small function on this site, separate from Klaviyo — it checks that a signup request looks real (not a bot script) before showing the guide, and it doesn't store your email anywhere; your email still only ends up with Klaviyo, the same as the newsletter form. Separately, Vercel Web Analytics counts page views on this site. It runs without cookies, can't identify you individually or track you across other sites, and Vercel discards the underlying visit data after 24 hours. Those are the only two third parties involved.

how to leave

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it's honored immediately. If you want your email deleted outright rather than just unsubscribed, email john@gentlyjack.com and it happens by hand, promptly.

the honest caveat

This is written in plain language on purpose, not run past a lawyer, because right now there's nothing complicated to hide behind legalese. If that changes as this grows, this page changes with it.
